About This Blog
Help - Share - Engage
That’s what Feba Blog Central is about. Collaborating towards some great blogs coming out of Feba. Two kinds of blogs are seen to start with: personal blogs where you will provide an insight on your work, make helpful information available, share useful data, and experiences that might be good for others to have access to; and content blogs that are companions to radio programmes or radio stations in the Feba family of ministries - helpful places where listeners to our audio content from radio or the web can become community.
Addendum: ‘helpful information’ needs to be unpacked - it needs some more thought on what could and should not create problems for Feba’s existing Communications Strategies and Policies.
Our Ambition
If you are Feba staff member, you’re invited to come join us as we take responsibility for the development of blogs associated with Feba worldwide. Ask a question - Provide an answer - Pose a problem - Share and idea - Support a fellow blogger - Build on-line community - Come change the way we help, share and engage, for good.
So, what is this blog all about?
Creating an on-line community for bloggers who work for Feba. A place where others who want to / are able to support these bloggers, offer expertise, encouragement, and insight - can also hang out.
Uhhm, what is Feba doing with blogs?
You mean apart from having some interactive fun? It’s about finding new ways to engage with listeners to our programmes, develop relationships of trust with them, and build up online social networks with them. We want our content blogs to be natural extensions of our audio content - filling in the gaps, offering extra information we couldn’t include in the programmes, giving extra ways people can make a personal connection with us.
It is also about knowledge management and enabling more of the rich experience, talent, enthusiasm, lessons, information, etc. to be more widely available to Feba staff, and in a form which enables, promotes, interaction amongst us. Hopefully you will get a vision for a personal blog that delivers this kind of a result.
But our blogs don’t look perfect!
We wish they could be, but this is new ground to just about everyone in Feba. We have much to learn. We know that a blogging culture is being taken seriously in large corporations. We also know that blogging can be done very well and very badly. We hope to get lots of help to you by using Feba Blog Central to keep us all focused on the right things. We believe that people with skills, and a heart for helping to empower us, will also contribute here, and that a creative and useful synergy will develop.
How may I contribute, then?
If you see a question or problem raised in someone’s post, and you know the answer or can point them to the help they need, please leave a comment. Be clear, be practical, include links and screen shots if you can. Each post will have a comments link to click, and you can write your pearly words of pure wisdom there.
If you have a suggestion for how this blog is run, leave a comment on this page, and it will be readily digested by a couple of admins keen to listen. Be polite, and say just about anything relevant. If you are rude, we have ways of dispatching you to the eternal darkness at the distant end of cyberspace.
