      Sensitivity Levels

      All communications about Feba projects are assigned a Sensitivity Level by our Information & Communications department, in consultation with project managers.  In Feba blogs, projects rated as low or moderate will be viewable by anyone once the pages are made public. Projects rated as high or extreme will require a user to be registered and need a password to view the pages.

      0 Low

      - projects in these countries can generally be reported openly 

      1 Moderate

       - Feba’s work may generally be reported openly, some projects need political or religious sensitivity; pseudonyms often used.

      2 High

       - Feba’s work treated with utmost sensitivity to security; staff and partners referred to by pseudonym; projects carefully described.

      3 Extreme

      - Feba’s work in these projects never mentioned in any publication, newsletter, website, blog etc; pseudonyms only. 

      FOR FUTURE USE:

      At a time to be announced, the I&C Department will begin rating stories written by or for Feba with a colour rating method. The proposed Security Ratings for Specific Stories or Material are:

      PURPLE         

       

      Material involving a low-sensitivity country. Local staff, listeners, locations or partners may be identified

       

      Wide Audience

       

      BLUE Material involving a moderate-sensitivity country. Local staff, listeners, locations or partners are not identified Wide audience or Medium audience
      GREEN Material involving a moderate-sensitivity country. Local staff, listeners, locations, or partners may be identified. Medium audience
      YELLOW Material involving a high-sensitivity country. Local staff, listeners, locations, or partners are not identified. Medium audience or Restricted audience
      ORANGE Material involving a high-sensitivity country. Local staff, listeners, locations, or partners may be identified.          Restricted audience or too sensitive for use
      RED Material involving an extreme sensitivity country where colleagues, partners or listeners could be subject to pressure due to attention being drawn to Feba’s work.     Not to be used for without explicit clearance per usage
      BLACK Material involves personal or sensitive details about a Feba colleague of programming partner. As decided by individual concerned or their director
