Acting ND to be appointed in South Africa
Frik Veldman is to become the acting national Director of Feba Radio South Africa, reports Petrus Moolman on Thursday
As released by FRSA office Friday 4 July:
“After consultation with FEBA UK, the FRSA Board of Directors has appointed Rev. Frik Veldman, currently Development Director for Southern Africa, as the acting National Director of FEBA Radio SA as from 1 August 2008. Please pray for further negotiations with the UK regarding Frik’s current role in Africa and future projects of FRSA - and for discussions between Rev Petrus Moolman and Rev Veldman to ensure a smooth transition at the time of Rev Moolman’s retirement the end of July.”
JB and MT have been is some intense negotiations with the FRSA leadership and board chairman over the past week, and the acting ND role is an agreed compromise. Mark will spend 5 days in Pretoria from 14 July, to commence bilateral negotiation and agreements between FRSA and Feba UK on the future of all projects currently managed by Frik in his ADD role, transition of some projects to FRSA management, and what changes to organisational shape are indicated for both FRSA and Feba UK. Please pray for this time.
This change to Mark’s next trip means that the scheduled summit in Maputo to hammer out a 5 year projects plan for Feba Mozambique is being postponed to later in the year, probably immediately after the official opening and commissioning of the Ndengu Community FM Project in Malawi
